At Lanta
I arrived back home today from a conference in Atlanta, GA. It was a nice trip – just exhausting. With the different time zone and then the time change early this morning, I got up at 6:15 a.m. which felt to my body like 4:15. I am not as young as I used to be, and I am feeling every bit of it.

I was lucky in that I did not actually have to present anything, but was still a coauthor on two presentations. One of them was given by a student of mine, which is a great opportunity for her, and some good mentor points for me.
I attended some interesting talks, and had the most fun catching up with old chums from El Paso (and a few from Colorado). I did not get to see too much of the city, but I had some good food anyway.

At home, things were pretty good. Kira was able to manage alright, even without the extra hands for dinner and bedtime. Unfortunately, Avey got a bit sick Saturday and still has not recovered. She’s had some headaches and low appetite, but nothing more serious than that. Hopefully she’ll be back to her normal self by the morning.
I’m sure there’s more, but I’m having a hard enough time keeping from laying down on the keyboaasesafeasdfaefsdfaefaeasfaefawefd.e..
