Blahs and Yadda-Yaddas
How did finals go? Thanks for asking. The answer is I don’t know yet, but I think they went well. I know I got an A- on my Statistics and Research Methods class, and that was much better than I expected. It turns out I do know a little something about that word “validity”. Who’d have thunk?
I got to thinking this week how much like a dog I must be in Avey’s eyes. I follow her around everywhere as if I had a leash on, she pets my hair when it’s in range, she throws/drops and I fetch, I clean up her table scraps, I sniff at her rear end, and I sometimes bark at cars as they drive by.
But then, I could turn it around. Avey has been on all fours most of her life, she gives very slobbery kisses, takes several naps throughout the day, looks forward to a good walk, poops in the house, gets a bath about once a week, is not allowed to get up on the couch, chases squirrels, and will eat anything she finds on the floor.
I guess we both have some evolving to do. Just imagine what poor Kira has to deal with on a daily basis.
If you haven’t noticed, I added a few more songs to my playlist on this blog. Yeah, that one to the right of this post. I’d like to comment on two of them.
Radiohead- “All I Need” This song doesn’t sound like much for the first couple of minutes, but that’s the trick- you have to listen to the whole song. Trust me, they’re building to something.
Marcy Playground- “Angel of the Forever Sleep” This one is great for anyone who is dealing with, has dealt with, or is afraid of death. It’s about the angel who comes from heaven to escort souls to their final destination. I like it a lot, anyway. Happy listening.
