Avey’s first Easter egg hunt was yesterday…

It’s a tradition in Kira’s family to get all of the cousins together and hunt eggs. For Avey’s purposes, we probably should have called it an Easter egg “find”. It took her a couple of minutes to see the point of the whole thing, but once she got it, she was in the zone. She found all the eggs we had “hidden” in plain sight and then I had to toss some where she wasn’t looking so that she could keep up the search.

We’re a little nervous now that Avey is going to think this is a regular, every-day occurrence and start dragging us out into the neighborhood, making us “hide” eggs in the grass so that she can put them in a bucket and clap. I have to admit though, it was quite a lot of fun for us adults too.
