Happy Birthday U.S.A!
It was another successful, long weekend. We started Friday off with a visit to the parade…

There’s a lot to make me thankful for the U.S.A. The more I learn, the prouder I am to be an American. Here are just a few of the reasons why, in no particular order:
1. I have never had to go hungry. 2. My voice counts when choosing who will lead us. 3. I can worship as I see fit. 4. I can write anything I want on this blog. 5. Kira and I can have as many kids as we want (or more). 6. Everyone I know can read. 7. My daughter can have a college education. 8. I don’t need to ask permission from anyone to move to Colorado. 9. My bloodline does not dictate what I can and cannot do. 10. I own what I buy.
If we lived in another part of the world, at some different point in time, each one of these things I take for granted would be a fantasy. Even today, many people cannot claim each of these. This is just a little reminder that you have it better than you think. So now I will exercise another right with this closing statement; God bless America!
